Functionality – 5/5

Besides the obvious main goal to make a connection with Bose headphones, the app offers much more. After downloading the app, you receive an access to the new world. It includes:

  • The connection of headphones and your phone;
  • Heart rate measuring in real time;
  • Switching between several mobile devices in no time;
  • Voice prompts are disabled, including noise cancellation;
  • Updates with the software newly released;
  • Headphones settings are customized;
  • Sharing your music via multiple devices.

Design – 5/5

The app has a simple and usable design in black and white colors. The main menu is hidden in the upper bar, including with settings. The central part of the screen belongs to the offered feature, so it does not distract you in the process. You can improve the volume of your headphones, stop and push back the music, using the bar below. Everything is explained, and every button is signed. The design reminds you of the retro style of the 50s, with its simplicity and two colors in contrast.

Usability – 4/5

Start with accessing all the features that the app can offer you. Try the Bluetooth navigation and your headphones volume. Go to the Connections settings and add a new device or reconnect your phones with the old ones that already showed there. You can see the history of connections revealed.

You will find the information about your devices connected to the app in settings, check the available Bluetooth offerings. In settings, you may cancel noise, pick the timer, disable voice prompts and choose the language. The button Disconnect will cut the link between your phone and headphones.

Pick updating your product option to stay up to the newest changes. It will take just several minutes. But you will need to keep headphones turned on. After that, you may share the music from your headphones with your friends. It does not take too much time, but it can consume your phone’s battery charge, so make sure you will be able to recharge it quickly.

Cross-platform use – 5/5

Bose Connect app is compatible with QC 35, Sound Sport, Quiet Control 30, SoundLink wireless headphones. It works with Sound Link Color II and Revolve versions as well. For the proper work of this app, it needs Bluetooth connection, reliable wifi, and a good battery on your phone. Some of its functions may not be available to the old models or different products. There is an iOS version of the app which works on iPhones.

In-app purchases

The app is free. But since Bose Connect app is an addition to the Bose headphones, you are going to have some of them. If you don’t have Bose products, there is no use in the app. So, before you will go and pick up the headphones, make sure they are compatible with the app. In this Bose Connect review, we suggest you download the app after you buy the headphones.

The Bottom Line

Bose connect Android app was designed by Bose company specifically for users of their products. It is compatible with numerous Boss devices. The app allows you to manage the headphones and speaker, share the music, and monitor your heart rate with a few simple taps on the phone. It can be really handy while you are jogging or doing some cardio exercises. Don’t forget to make sure you have proper Bluetooth connection between the phone and Bose headphones.
