Mirror Image - Photo Editor Review
Mirror Image – Photo Editor is a multifunctional tool for processing your pictures for social media. Not pretending to be a serious photo editor, it instead offers all you might need to color up your Instagram posts. Download Mirror Photo Editor for Android and shine like a star on your pictures!
It’s hard to overestimate the set of features Mirror Photo Editor is stuffed with. The primary one is, of course, various mirroring options. It can mirror images horizontally, vertically or diagonally, with a total of six options. Besides that, the app offers various filters, cropping tools, frames, stickers, texts, AR effects for selfies with doggo ears and noses and flower crowns, and lots of enhancements for your pictures to look Insta-friendly.
Though the app looks quite intuitive for someone who has seen at least one or two photo editors, it has its surprises. For example, some menu sections redirect you to Google Play, to install another app by the same developer. And you cannot tell them from the inner section. As for the rest, the effects are displayed visually, and it’s easy to rate and apply them. Still, the app requires time to get used to it, and with these ads you will have lots of it.
The app is mostly made the way all image editors are made. You select the image and then the effect from the row of icons below. When one is applied, you see the changes right in the main window, where the app displays the pic. To confirm the change, tap the tick and proceed to the next effect if necessary, or to the next picture. You can join various pictures in collages, select frames and filters, add textures, and combine these changes.
The app also features AR effects section. It launches your front camera and lets you snap selfies or record videos with augmented reality effects. They may include flowers, animals’ ears and noses, jewelry, rainbows, and other shiny bright things.
All these effects are made for social media rather than for creating photo masterpieces. So no wonder the app has built-in buttons for sharing your masterpieces to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other media. If your account isn’t listed, you can use generic Android sharing.
Cross-Platform Use 3/5
Mirror Photo Editor is only made for Android (though there are many similar apps for iOS by other developers). It doesn’t reveal what Android version it requires. But it must be 4.4 or 4.3 at least. The app has been installed over 50M times, and this means it is compatible with absolutely most Android devices.
Though Mirror Photo Editor is completely free, many users wish it had a paid premium version. It is monetized with ads, and their density is sometimes just incredible: there is an ad popping up after each operation. A good app is probably worth a little payment, but this option isn’t available here, and it hurts.
The Bottom Line
Mirror Photo Editor is a sort of all-in-one photo tool for making it brave and bright, with all the effects adored by social media celebrities. It would have been quite a self-sufficient tool, with no others required, if not for ads. And there is even no payment option. Well, developers shouldn’t be surprised if anonymous enthusiasts make an ad-free version of it. But we still propose you the official one.Collapse
If you don’t mind watching commercials while processing your photos, you can download Mirror Photo Editor and use it for most photo effects you may need for your Insta account.
