Microsoft Excel Review
Since Microsoft released the Office apps for iOS and Android, there are dozens of both positive and negative feedbacks about the mobile suit. For now, let’s look more closely to Microsoft Excel app to define if the app really can be called ‘EXCELlent’.
Functionality – 5/5
Let’s be honest, Microsoft has done a great work transforming the desktop Excel kit into the mobile version. Microsoft Excel app currently has the same tools as its PC relative, and they all work accurately.
Whether you need a simple spreadsheet or a more in-depth finance report, Excel app can do all of it. Amazing touch-screen adaptation of navigating and interface, worksheets templates, charts, almost 500 formulas to apply and this is far from even a half of Microsoft Excel app capabilities. The customization tools were successfully integrated too. You can edit texts by using more than 100 available fonts, add text color and background, change styles and spacing.
What I love the most about the app, is that it also provides updates on your document in real time. You can see all the comments and tips offered and edit it on the go.
Design – 4/5
The interface of the Excel app looks as good as it works. The smart, sophisticated and bright design was also transferred into the Excel apk version. The only inconvenience you might have with mobile Excel is the size. If you work with documents on the phone, it may take you some time to get used to the Excel app. Unlike the desktop Excel, the main menu bar in Excel app is settled down below the screen of your device.
Usability – 5/5
Despite its minor flaws, Microsoft Excel app remains handy and practical in usage. Excel app is a great way to work on the go. To start the working process, you need to sign up in your account or just proceed without signing. In both cases, Microsoft Excel provides all available functions. You can also work using an Internet connection or edit documents offline.
Cross-platform use – 5/5
The Microsoft Excel apk is available for Android, Windows and iOS devices. It can be downloaded and installed for free. To use the app on different platforms, you only need to log into your account to sync them. This also works if you need to sync the desktop version with the app on your gadget.
To make sure the app will work properly, check the system requirements before you get it and download the Microsoft Excel latest version.
Although downloading Microsoft Excel app for smartphones and tablets is free to use for viewing, creating and editing docs, you can also purchase an Office 365 Home or Personal subscription to unlock all editing kits and tools.
The main advantage of Office 365 is its compatibility with larger screens. If your device has 10.1 inches or larger screen, the Office 365 is required for the gadget.
The Bottom Line
Even though Microsoft Excel app has numerous advantages, there are still some cons. The most discussed one is the ability to print the document right from your gadget. Despite the multiple users' comments and requests to add this function, Excel still doesn’t have it. Another major flaw that is constantly being complained about is data loading. If you’re working with a big amount of data and documents, be ready to pay for Office subscription.Collapse
Microsoft Excel app is great software for your device for working on the go. It could become an irreplaceable assistant if you travel much and don’t want to take a laptop with you. Despite its minor flaws, the Excel app remains one of the best free spreadsheets apps in mobile stores.

Free for downloading.
Cons : Can’t process a big amount of data;
No print from the device.
