New Features: Brief Overview
The dev team behind Volta fixed laser-like focus on the gameplay to make the game mode more exciting, as well as rewarding the most skillful players. With this motif in mind, here are some of the most prominent changes and new features that have been emphasized within FIFA 22 Volta Football:
- Signature Abilities: this feature will give the players the possibility to activate special skills and moves that will contribute to leveling up their character;
- Skill Meter System: despite being already launched in the previous series, this feature focuses on awaring players and their teams of additional goals when scoring if they show a high level of skills.
- Two-Player Goal Celebrations: more happy reactions have been added to the game, for instance, players can hug each other, give each other high-fives, etc.
- Volta Seasons: extensive content additions to be introduced throughout the year.
A Quick Look at Signature Abilities
The Signature Abilities feature is exceptionally intuitive and fun to use. A few words on how it works. Once you register your Avatar, you want to choose one of the three unique skills. You can switch from your initially chosen Signature Ability to the other one whenever you desire. Once the match begins, your ability will be lowered. As you progress, you’ll notice that your Signature Ability Meter at the bottom of the screen is gradually filling up.
Once the meter is full, it will start glowing and pulsing. At that moment, you’ll notice an on-screen notification to hit RB/R1 for the purpose of activating your Signature Ability. After you do the necessary tapping, your super skill will be assisting you in the game for a limited period of time. So, ensure you make full use of your superpower while you can. Soon, your Signature Ability will subside, leaving you to wait for the meter to fill up again.
Last But Not Least
As you play, you will notice that an upgraded lobby is introduced. It’s similar to other titles like Fortnite or Fall Guys, where everyone can see each other on-screen and instantly know when the players are ready. The new lobby makes enjoying the game with your buddies a walk in the park. Also, in-game positions have been removed, a move that adds up to the overall dynamic feel of the gameplay. To cut a long story short, you will be everything but bored with FIFA 22 VOLTA Football. Have anything to add? Share your thoughts in the comments at the bottom of this article.
