Cat Goes Fishing LITE Review
Cat Goes Fishing is a casual PC game, to be specific, a fishing game with an adorable little kitty. Download Cat Goes Fishing on Steam to start your charming fishing journey.
Graphics – 5/5
As any other casual game, Cat Goes Fishing can’t impress its players with luscious graphics. It’s a gently made 2D game that provides nice cartoon-like picture with sweet-tempered music. These two details complete each other and make the game feel full in its simplicity. According to Cat Goes Fishing system requirements, a computer that isn’t capable of starting this game doesn’t exist anymore. There is no need to make the game more complex. Otherwise, it’ll lose its flavor.
Gameplay – 5/5
You begin your fishing journey on an island having only one ordinary rod to start with. By catching and selling fish, you earn money to modify your equipment. Save enough money and open brand new rods, so you could try to catch a bigger fish. But fish that big can’t be found in the shallows. You can also open boats, which allow you to travel far away at sea, where you will find some truly big fish to catch – deadly sharks, for example.
It seems like Cat Goes Fishing gameplay is a piece of cake, but don’t let yourself be fooled! Each fish behaves like no other and has its own sticking points, and it’s your main goal to expose them. The only way to do it is, of course, to fish! Strike the right note while picking accurate rod and lure for the fish that will enrich your collection.
While playing you might also find hats that will make some changes to the gameplay, just in case you get stuck.
Controls – 4/5
To play this game, all you need is a mouse. You simply drag the lure all over the area to catch the fish you’re after while avoiding the other ones. The game seems to be perfect for smartphones or tablets (which you can check out yourself, since CGF was released on Android as well), but controlling by the mouse doesn’t feel odd either. It’s easy to control every turn, which is quite important, and won’t fluster you as you don’t have to cover the half of the screen with your hand. It may still hurt if you play like that for a while.
Replay Value – 5/5
The game only seems to be dull and boring as other online games you can find on Facebook or somewhere else. As a matter of fact, Cat Goes Fishing is kind of catching. Cartoon-like graphics and pleasant music are appealing from the start. At first, you’re just relaxing to the process of playing itself, and then you find yourself matching rod and lure to the fish you’re after for quite some time.
The Bottom Line
The main goal of Cat Goes Fishing review is to review the game in its complexity. CGF didn’t bring pretty much anything new to both casual and fishing genre. Except for the fact that it defines the genre of casual games. It’s simple yet fascinating to play. You won’t be disturbed by unnecessary features because there is none of them. The whole picture is undeniably attractive, which makes Cat Goes Fishing a must-play or at least worth a shot.Collapse
