Minecraft Pocket Edition Review: a Parallel Universe where Pixels Rule
Minecraft Pocket Edition is a game made especially for mobile devices so you could play your favorite game on the go. You can download Minecraft: Pocket Edition only for mobile devices, but there is also a version of Minecraft game for all major gaming platforms, including Microsoft Windows, macOS, Linux, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, also Android, iOS, and others. Minecraft Pocket Edition game’s release date was on August 16th, 2011. It was available only for Xperia Play, but since then, it’s been rocking the whole world and many platforms and countries. The latest update was on September 2nd, 2019 for Android and on September 3rd, 2019 for iOS.
Graphics – 3/5
Minecraft Pocket Edition's latest version makes your eyes hurt. We hope there will be studies made to see how extreme pixels in that game affect your eyesight in a bad way. Ironically, this is the main reason why you buy Minecraft Pocket Edition. You’ll see a lot of that in the game, but at the same time there are a lot of layers, objects, and sceneries here, and you can create much more, of course. Everything looks pretty similar, and it’s easy to confuse one object with another.
Gameplay – 5/5
Let’s start with Minecraft: Pocket Edition price, which is $6.99. So it’s not for free, but the things you can do here and the worlds you can build are worth it. Even despite the graphics, which simply can’t show all your creations in their true form. The main idea of Minecraft: Pocket Edition gameplay is to create: everything from small chairs to hovering over the Earth space stations. It's truly surprising how some gamers build mind-blowing machines and cities when you have a hard time building one room. You can actually build a model of the house of your dream here and maybe meditate on it to get it in real life. Check how it's done by professional architectors on YouTube.
Controls – 4/5
Keep in mind that this Minecraft: Pocket Edition review is only for mobile devices. So, all the controls are about taps and slides on your gadget. You’ll see the main movement button on the left of the screen, it is round with four arrows on it. On the top of the screen, you can see Pause and Chat buttons. On the bottom of the screen, there’s your backpack with tools, food, and weapons in it. Just slide it left and right and use the three dots on the right of it to see more options. Of course, the controls in the Minecraft: Pocket Edition full game aren’t the same as in the PC version. The whole process takes a little time to get used to, and sometimes you’ll still have trouble with the controls in Minecraft: Pocket Edition game online.
Replay Value – 5/5
It depends on the phone. Minecraft: Pocket Edition iOS is more stable than Minecraft: Pocket Edition for Android. Minecraft: Pocket Edition apk depends a lot on the brand and version of your phone. For example, it can work on Huawei but won’t work on Meizu or vice versa. You have to be kind of lucky for Minecraft: Pocket Edition to perform perfectly on an Android device. Hence, your overall satisfaction with the game will depend on the device you’re using. The replay value of the game is very high, you can play it for ages if your fantasy is as endless as Minecraft. Sky is the limit in this game.
The Bottom Line
The main point is that all Minecraft: Pocket Edition costs are worth getting it. And the creators made the game not free to download because there are a lot of cheaters out there. It sucks when you play PvP mode, but if you're here just to chill and build, then this game is right for you.Collapse
Go ahead and download Minecraft: Pocket Edition if you haven't done it already.
Pros : Great variety of scenes and objects in the last Minecraft: Pocket Edition update;
Many skins built in the game, and you can buy more.
Cons : Not the most amazing graphics on the market;
Minecraft: Pocket Edition game size may be too big for your device, so it might not perform well sometimes.
