Candy Crush Saga Review
Candy Crush Saga is three-in-row puzzle game in which puzzles have to be replaced with colorful candies. It was first released in 2012 on iOS and Android, and now you can download Candy Crush Saga on both your phone and PC running Windows 10 or Linux.
Graphics – 5/5
Candy Crush Saga is a simple match-three puzzle game, but what makes it so appealing that it tops the charts of app stores? It’s extremely colorful, which is not surprising since we’re dealing with tons of candies. Every move is accompanied by glorious effects that can be compared to a rainbow explosion, which makes this game so vivid. The moves are smooth, and candy crushes can sometimes be very impressive.
Gameplay – 5/5
The Candy Crush Saga gameplay is as easy as ABC. You swap two candies of various colors side to side in order to create a column of three candies alike in color. As you match them, they disappear from the board leaving an empty space that soon will be filled by other candies. If you are lucky enough, they will be matched as well and disappear automatically. With every crush you gain points; the more points there is the more stars you will get in the end.
Match of four and more candies creates a special candy, which can clear a whole column, row, section, or remove all candies of a specific color. For this type of match, players get extra points to their score.
With each level, the game gets more complicated and provides its players with challenges. Each level is a new challenge. Sometimes you need to match candies twice to unfreeze them, and only then they can finally disappear. On some levels, you have a fixed number of moves to gain at least a minimum amount of points. And remember, you’re not a cat here and have only five lives.
Controls – 4/5
In order to exchange two candies for creating a match, you just have to swipe one and nothing more. It doesn’t depend on the level you play; you always have to simply swap candies side to side. It’s comfortable on every device you play with. If there is a need to cheat a little, you can choose one of the available boosters and tap on a specific candle to activate it. However, there are no magic gestures to notably simplify anything.
Replay Value – 5/5
Candy Crush Saga is the game you come in for fun and stay for challenges. Only the first levels of the game are easy and fun to play, the following are more challenging, yet still fun. Candy Crush Saga is the case when you say “one more game and done,” and then play another one until it’s time to charge your phone. At first, you wait for it to get complicated, and when it gets, you can’t stop playing to overcome it.
The Bottom Line
The gained points in this Candy Crush Saga review deserve at least three stars (out of three). This free-to-play game has everything to become your favorite. Its juicy graphics, transparent gameplay, hundreds of levels with brand new challenges are made for you to just relax and put your brain to good use between whiles.Collapse
